The easiest cake pops are tennis balls, colorful balls, and Christmas balls. For bakers who are familiar with handling chocolates, it will be an easy task. Chocolate covered cake pops can keep for a longer period of time and good for shipping.

Owl Cake Pops

Yield: 24

Many people like me love owl cake pops! It is very cute and easy to make plus no food coloring is needed.

The beak of the owl is a sun flower seed. You can buy the ready-made chocolate ears, eyes, and wings but you can also make your own. Dip the chop stick into melted chocolate and let it drop onto the parchment paper. It is ready to use when it is hardened. You can easily control the size and shape of these chocolate pieces. The thickness of these chocolate owl parts depends on how thin or thick the melted chocolate is. Almost hardened chocolate will produce thicker pieces.

Steps

  1. Use melted dark chocolate to make the ears and wings. Use melted white chocolate to make the eyes. Make more than you need so you can pick the best pieces for the owl cake pops.1
  2. Chocolate ears need to be made with almost hardened chocolate. Look at the shape in the picture. Use a little bit of melted chocolate to glue the ears onto the cake pop. Let the glue harden.2
  3. Cover the whole cake pop with melted dark chocolate. Add the white chocolate eyes.3
  4. Add a sun flower seed as the beak. Dot the white chocolate eye with dark chocolate as the iris. 4
  5. Add the wings to the side of the cake pops. Viola!5
