The sweet taro in this recipe is often used in making other cold desserts. It needs to have a very soft and velvety texture otherwise it becomes hard and tasteless once it is frozen. If you would like to just have the sweet taro by itself, the amount of sugar in the recipe should be halved so the taro won’t be cloyingly sweet.

Three years ago, I posted the recipe "Safest and Cleanest Pearl Milk Tea", and a lot of friends must have eaten a stomach full of square pearl tapiocas. The square pearls are tasty but I am still interested in the method of making them round. It is not easy to follow the traditional method, and I also didn't get a good outcome. As the result, Mr. Chou's innovative power had to come out with ideas for everybody to make round pearls easily.

I have conducted what-is-your-favourite-food surveys in my classes, and Fried Salty Chicken has been in the first place for many years, of which its popularity can be seen. Although nutritionists remind us daily that “do not over-consume deep fried foods,” the temptation is hard to resist.
